Mature oaks and pines mean heavier leaf load in fall, more shade competition on turf, and a genuine need to keep an eye on limbs that overhang roofs and drives. Deer pressure is relentless on the wooded lots off Northwest Woods and toward Springs, and it decides what will actually survive a planting. We specify material deer leave alone where fencing is not practical, and install proper deer fencing where a garden needs real protection rather than hope.

Winter matters here too. Long stretches of unoccupied houses mean nobody is checking a driveway after an overnight storm, so contracted properties get plowed in route order regardless of whether the owners are on the East End that week.
